Hi! I'm Ashley, a mom-writer hybrid in Minneapolis. I’ve built an expansive body of work on motherhood and mental health, and these days I mostly write in the realms of social science and psychology (but in a cool way). It’s a good work day when I get to write a well-researched, voicey piece that highlights our humanity in a hopeful, challenging way. Bonus points if the day was filled with novelty drinks of any kind.

You can find some of my favorite pieces in Longreads, Refinery29, New York Magazine's The Cut, and Washington Post. I'm also a regular contributor at Brit + Co. and Apartment Therapy.

When I’m not freelancing or ghostwriting for clients (it’s a surprisingly stretching creative exercise!), I derive a lot of delight from mentoring and teaching aspiring writers. I forged the path to my portfolio (mostly) alone, and it’s a privilege to equip and empower emerging voices with tools of their own. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in coaching!
